Hércules brewery was founded in 2011 with the aim of offering freshly brewed beer made with the finest ingredients. Every day, we work to create the best beer in the country, embracing traditional methods and historic styles to foster a beer culture in the region.
We produce around 50 different beer styles each year. However, in recent years, our focus has shifted towards classic beers such as traditional lagers, British session ales, Real Ales, and wild spontaneously fermented beers.
In addition to other local ingredients, we have a great fondness for native corn. We plant it, harvest it, and use it with great care in some of our favorite beers.
We are located in the city of Querétaro, within the old houses and adjacent buildings of 'El Hércules' Textile Factory, founded in the mid-19th century. Just over a decade ago, we shifted the factory’s vocation to become a brewery that seeks to revive the greatness of this historic place. The hotel features forty rooms, two restaurants, a spa, swimming pool, volleyball court, gym, courtyards, and many spaces to explore. At the same time, the hotel becomes part of the Hércules factory ecosystem, where the brewery is located along with a beer garden, a ballroom, a textile design workshop, architecture, photography and art studios, and several shops from artisanal micro-producers. This project is the result of a meticulous reconfiguration and restoration process carried out by GOMA, an architectural firm that was born within the walls of the factory itself. They rescued old industrial spaces and transformed them into a place of unprecedented recreation and rest.
Our forty rooms surround a central courtyard where our most symbolic monument stands; a 19th-century marble sculpture of Hercules.
Each one of them is unique and was decorated by El Urdido, an interior design studio also born here. They take us back to that ‘Golden Era’ when the radio played and the world listened.
The rooms are complemented with handmade design pieces by Caralarga, a textile studio and workshop that inherited the textile vocation of the factory and has a global presence.
Just like our beer, the menu at the hotel draws inspiration from here and there. We highlight regional dishes, revive timeless favorites, and prioritize local ingredients.
We aim to bring back the warm Mexican service that we love so much. In our dining room, sitting at the table and enjoying a good meal with fresh beer is the only thing that matters.
Buenavista breathes new life into the former “carding room” of the textile factory, transformed into an open space with terraces, a pool and a volleyball court dedicated to relaxation and socializing with beer, music, and snacks.
Soon, a seafood kitchen will bring us the most delicious flavors from Mexico's coasts.
Two or three times a year this space becomes a music venue where powerful cult bands, curated by our melomaniac staff, have already performed.
A space of industrial manufacturing literally transformed into an oasis of water-based therapies and endemic plants dedicated to well-being and total relaxation.

The eastern wing of the former textile factory ‘El Hércules’ is where the brewery began. Around it, other projects have been incubated and grown, ranging from our traditional beer garden and dance hall to artistic and architectural studios, a textile workshop, and and several small-scale producers.
The brewery and hotel are situated in the neighborhood that shares our name, Hércules. Nestled in a valley in the city of Querétaro, Hércules emerged during the 19th century with a deeply rooted working-class identity. Prior to this, in 1592, Diego de Tapia, son of Fernando de Tapia "Conín”, built the “Molino Colorado”, a mill which produced wheat flour for over 200 years. Within the same complex, in 1846, and under the guidance of Cayetano Rubio, a Spanish industrialist, the "El Hércules" Textile Factory was established, giving birth to the neighborhood. This factory holds a rich history, having withstood wars, crises, and strikes. It stands as a significant landmark in Mexico's Industrial Revolution and has been visited by prominent figures like Porfirio Díaz and Venustiano Carranza. After 165 years, while the textile factory continued its operations in a much smaller scale, the brewery was founded with the mission of reclaiming the greatness of this historic site. The factory has served as the heart of the economic and social life in the Hércules neighborhood, where a community flourishes with cultural heritage, lively festivities, and a deep sense of belonging. Together, the factory and the neighborhood embark on a new chapter dedicated to hospitality, marked by the opening of our hotel.
